Changelog

Every change to FairWheelPick, newest first. We list what changed and why, so you know what the wheel does and when it changed. See how the draw works for the method itself.

4 November 2026

  • Sports wheels. New sports wheels hub with sports, PE games, workout moves, a coin toss and four fair ways to split players into teams. New NFL team wheel with all 32 teams and lists for each conference and division.
  • Game wheels. New spin the wheel games hub with party, kids and family game lists, forfeits, charades and Pictionary prompts, and rules for 10 classics. New truth or dare wheel with 100 clean prompts for kids, teens and adults, plus house rules. New would you rather wheel with 107 clean questions in 7 lists.
  • Random word wheel. The new random word generator wheel has 220 kid-safe words in 8 lists, including Pictionary, charades, categories and Dolch sight words. New guide: wheel probability explained.
  • Percentages (wheel 1.10). Every wheel now accepts exact shares like Prize *25%, with a note when they don’t add up to 100%. New spin wheel with percentages page with an odds calculator.
  • Raffle generator (wheel 1.9). The new raffle generator numbers tickets from names and counts or a ticket range, draws each prize in order, can limit people to one prize, and shows 50/50 totals. New guide: how to run a fair raffle.
  • Giveaway picker (wheel 1.8). The new giveaway picker cleans a pasted comment or entry list (duplicates, tag rule, exclusions), then draws winners and backups at once with a list fingerprint and draw record.
  • Secret Santa generator (wheel 1.7). A new Secret Santa generator draws everyone at once so nobody gets their own name, keeps couples apart, and shows each match privately on one device or by private link. Quick list buttons are larger on phones.
  • Draw checker and list fingerprint. The Fairness tab now shows a SHA-256 fingerprint of your entry list, and the result window has Copy draw record. The new draw checker lets anyone confirm a list matches.
  • Ready-made wheels. New hubs for classroom, everyday and creative wheels, each with Quick lists that load in one click.
  • Colour mode. The colour wheel paints each segment in the colour it names and shows the hex code in the result.
  • Per-page lists. Each wheel page keeps its own saved list, with Reset to sample list and Fill numbers on the number wheel.
  • Fairness test. A new tab runs thousands of draws in your browser and compares them with the expected counts using a chi-square test.
  • Guides. A new guides section, including 100 spin the wheel ideas.
  • Trust pages. About, Contact, How the draw works and an updated privacy policy.
  • Breadcrumb navigation on tool pages.

3 November 2026

  • Launch. FairWheelPick went live with the spin the wheel tool: secure random draw, weights with *2, remove winner, results history, full screen, share links and sound.

What We Will Never Change

  • The winner is drawn by a secure random number generator before the wheel moves.
  • Your lists stay in your browser and are not sent to our server.
  • No sign-up to spin.
